Well, it has arrived – the mad stretch of eggnog, giftwrap, prosecco headaches, kisses and hugs, ohmygodit’sbeensolongs, twinkling lights, blurry nights, naps, family, mindless eating, banal regret, and cheer. I am packing my things to head off into the night to stay with my aunt, and enter a whirlwind of festivities that starts tomorrow morning, and will spit me out on the other side of 2012 – namely, 2013. While my plan was to write every day regardless of the holidays, I’d rather be real than idealistic.
Therefore, fellow citizens, I bid you adieu for the next ten days, and look forward to seeing you in 2013! At that point I know things will be different for me – I’ll be full-time, full-tilt at Pedalogical, no longer with Bard College; I’ll be running the Young Friends group & Marketing Committee for my civic association; I’ll be getting involved with the POWER Group at Rodeph Shalom; interviewing for a board seat at Philadelphia Montessori; and continuing with the Junior League.
And it’ll be the first year I start off as a Philadelphian 🙂
What about you? What will 2013 bring that is new and wonderful?
Looking forward to seeing you on the other side of the looking glass!
